The following are required to take 16 hours of continuing education.

1. Cosmetologists
2. Facial Specialists
3. Nail Specialists
4. Full Specialists

Licenses/Registrations for the above expire October 31 every two years.   

4-Hour HIV/AIDS Course
The following are required to take the 4-hour HIV/AIDS course.

1. Out of State license holders transferring to Florida
2. Initial licensees (cosmetologists, facial specialists, nail specialists, full specialists). You must present a 4-hour HIV/AIDS certificate to the Department of Business & Professional Regulation in order to receive your initial license/registration.

License for the above expires October 31 every two years.

2. Hair Wrappers
3. Body Wrappers

Registrations for the above expire October 31 every two years. 

2-Hour HIV/AIDS Course #7016 (Barbering)

The following are required to take the 2-hour HIV/AIDS course.

1. Barbers
2. Out of state barbers transferring to Florida
3. Initial licensee (for barbers who must submit a HIV/AIDS certificate along with their diploma to get their initial license).

Licenses for this group expire every two years on July 31.
